Silhouette of Valor is a tribute to my life long friend who served our Country in Vietnam. Dave returned home with two Purple Hearts and a life of pain.

Reflection represents the addition of color BIG time. Color in this drawing is used to set the atmosphere. Chalk pastels were used to create the smoky mysterious atmosphere.

Lake House was a commission drawing, and sold to the family who asked to have it made. The home is located on Squam Pond, New Hampshire. The pond was used in the movie “On Golden Pond.” The drawing size is 13.5” X 16.5” and taken from a 3.5” X 4” picture. The best complement came when the wife looked at the completed drawing and asked me if I was there.
“Dad’s Farm” Dad’s Farm was a unique request. There were no pictures of the farm that I was asked to draw. The drawing was created totally by the son’s recollection. His father loved beagles and had several at his home. The final art is the result of many sketch changes until the son was satisfied.

“Mom’s Home goes with Dad’s Home. I had a partial picture of the son’s home. Dad had beagles, Mom had chickens to bring life to the drawing. The tractor became the main item in the art.
New England Coast has many awesome sites like this drawing. It is understandable why a small photograph needed to be expanded to a size that the scene can be appreciated.

I was honored when asked to create the “canceled stamp” for the Paradise 300th Anniversary celebration in 2012. The design reflects a local Paradise covered bridge and was used to cancel commemorative postcards sets.
